Our joiners also take into account practical considerations and regulations. Our knowledgeable joiners use both modern and traditional techniques in our extensive, well-equipped workshop.

Kitchens

Our team of bench hand joiners can produce bespoke kitchens using your chosen timber or other material of choice. This is the option if your kitchen will not allow for standard unit sizes or you require something a little different.

Staircases and Balustrading 

We manufacture purpose made timber staircases to suit our clients requirements, from straight flights to ornate sweeping and radial staircases, in traditional and contemporary styles. Using the most effective of the latest techniques together with traditional methods we are able to provide excellent quality staircases on an affordable budget. All of our staircases are handmade in our own workshop. We offer limitless variations on design & material choice, from basic softwood & MDF flights. Balustrades can be traditional turned or simple plain square spindles or glass panels.

Laminate/hardwood flooring 

If you have recently had new extension or refurbishment work done in your home, you want to decorate to the highest of standards and perfection. You might be surprised to find that Andy Whitelaw Joinery can supply and fit you with your new laminate or hardwood flooring. 

A real wood floor is a thing of beauty and can come in many varieties, with different styles, finishes, patterns and materials, to suit your home, lifestyle and taste. Oak Flooring, which is practical and durable material, is one of the more popular types of wood in this range as it is hard-wearing against the harshness of day to day wear. Laminate flooring on the other hand is not real hard wood flooring but appears identical, with the appearance being provided by a photographic image of wood which can be placed on top of a core board made of compressed fibres. Optionally you can have your new laminate flooring covered in a melamine wear layer, to give it greater toughness and durability. Many people also choose laminate flooring over hardwood as it is less likely to scratch than wood and easier to clean, making it ideal for a crowded and busy home.
