When considering installing a new roofline system, the aesthetic appearance on the exterior of your home can be a swaying factor. That’s why at Andy Whitelaw Joinery we supply fascias, soffits and guttering of many types to suit the existing style of your home. You can choose from a range of PVCu colours for all your new roofline fittings and you also have the choice between square and cylindrical downpipes and gutters.

Why install a new Roofline system?
Our PVCu roofline products are ideal for your home as they have a 10-year guarantee, with the promise of minimal maintenance. Unlike traditional timber fascias and soffits, that suffer from rot, general deterioration and require regular maintenance. Roofline replaces these with high quality, specially designed and attractive upvc products that provide long term protection with little or no maintenance. In addition to replacing the fascia, soffits and bargeboards, the guttering and downpipes can be replaced and dry verge used to protect the tile edges on the eaves. Roofline installation provides a cost effective home improvement that not only improves the look of your property, but adds long term protection.

When it comes to replacing fascias and soffits, choosing a good-looking roofline product is only half the story. Expert installation is vital too, to protect your home against damp. Unlike some installers, we take extra care to remove the old fascia boards and complete all the finishing touches to protect your home. The first step we take in installing your new roofline products is to prepare the area. This takes the form of putting down dust sheets to protect the external area of your property. In some cases scaffolds may be required to comply with health and safety regulations. In this case scaffolding would be erected ready for our installation team to begin their work on your home. Next, we remove all of the existing timber roofline system, including fascias, soffits, gutters, bargeboards and downpipes. Once we have completely removed the existing timber roofline system we can start to fit the new PVCu system into place. This includes the removal of a few rows of tiles and cutting away last few inches of damaged felt to replace with bird comb. The bird comb is positioned undrneath the tiles to prevent any insects or small animals entering your roofline and nesting. A optional extra leaf guard which can be installed with any guttering placed beneath a tree. A leaf guard deflects leaves, twigs, pine needles and other debris from your gutters, allowing rainwater to flow freely into the gutter bottom and through the downpipes. Once your new bird and leaf guards have been installed, the roof tiles are re-laid. To complete the job, we sweep up and clear the exterior of your property. The timber from your existing roofline system is then taken away in the back of one of our vans, leaving your property clean and tidy so you can sit back, relax and enjoy your new PVCu roofline system.
